Privacy

Welcome to the Millennium Challenge Corporation’s privacy policy information. The information contained in these pages will help you locate and understand MCC’s privacy policies and its implementation of the privacy requirements from the Privacy Act of 1974, the E-Government Act of 2002, and other public laws.

Privacy Policy

The MCC Privacy Policy is applicable to MCC employees, personal service contractors and all other contractors handling privacy information, and to all federal information systems as defined by the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA).

Website Privacy and Notices

The website privacy statement describes how MCC handles the personal information you provide to us through our website and online forms. Federal law requires us to tell you how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information. Federal law also limits how we can use your personal information.

Privacy Impact Assessments and Systems of Records Notices

Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) are tools used to identify and mitigate risk for systems that collect Personally Identifiable Information (PII). They identify PII types, and how PII will be collected, shared, used, accessed, safeguard, stored, and corrected.

Systems of Records Notices (SORNs) are required by 5 U.S.C. 552a(e)(4); 5 U.S.C. 552a(5); see OMB Circular A-130. SORNs provide the public notice with MCC's collection of Privacy Act information and are published in the Federal Register. They identify the purpose, use, sharing, and categories of PII collected; and how to communicate with MCC's Privacy Office.
