    Low Carbon Development and Poverty Reduction: How MCC Supports Partner Countries’ Climate Ambitions

    MCC plays a crucial role helping partner countries grow their economies, fight poverty, and achieve their climate ambitions. In this event, MCC will showcase $663 million in new investments that will support low carbon development for Côte d'Ivoire, Sierra Leone and Belize. MCC will also highlight lessons learned from its 20-year history crowding in private sector investment, including a recent $144 million partnership with the private sector in Mozambique that incorporates nature-based solutions.

      Resilience at Scale: A New Paradigm for USG Infrastructure Investments

      This event will highlight initiatives the United States is implementing, both at home and abroad, through federal policies, place-based service delivery, and robust, supportive engagement with impacted communities, to achieve long-term resilience. This event will provide an opportunity for US government agencies, including MCC, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to announce major new initiatives that demonstrate the commitment of the United States as a leader in building a more climate resilient and sustainable world. The session will include an Implementation Lab whereby leading institutions will provide insights on emerging best practices and tools to facilitate resilience at scale.
