Christopher Dunn

Acting Chief of Staff

Millennium Challenge Corporation

Before serving as Acting Chief of Staff, Mr. Dunn worked as the Country Team Leader for MCC’s $44.4 million Sierra Leone Threshold Program. In that capacity, he led an integrated, multi-sector MCC country team through program development, negotiation and initial start-up, and served as MCC’s principal representative to, and lead negotiator with the Government of Sierra Leone.

Prior to his work on the Sierra Leone program, Mr. Dunn spent nearly five years as a Senior International Attorney in MCC’s Office of the General Counsel, where he advised MCC and country partners on legal issues associated with compact development, negotiation, and implementation, as well as MCC’s threshold program.  His country assignments included MCC’s compacts with Armenia, Benin, Morocco, Senegal, and Zambia, as well as many of MCC’s threshold programs.

Prior to joining MCC, Mr. Dunn worked as an associate with White & Case LLP, advising lenders, developers, and governments on project finance and other cross-border transactions, with a particular focus on the power sector.

He received his J.D. from the University of Virginia and his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley.  Following law school, he was among the first recipients of the Monroe Leigh Fellowship in International Law, through which he worked with the Office of the Prosecutor at the Special Court for Sierra Leone.
